Tennessee baseball picked up another big one late on Sunday out of the transfer portal. The Volunteers picked up right-handed starting pitcher Landon Mack, who hit the portal after spending his freshman season at Rutgers.
This was a Tennessee-LSU battle from the jump, and the Volunteers have won the battle in the end. Mack was on campus in early June for his official visit.
Mack started 15 games for the Scarlett Knights, going 6-5 on the season. He finished the year with a 4.03 ERA over 80 innings pitched. Mack struck out 70 batters on the year and was named a second-team Freshman All-American by Baseball America.
