After a 246 yard performance to close the season, the hype train is officially rolling for Tennessee running back Eric Gray. The freshman was not a part of the regular rotation in the Tennessee backfield, but that probably won’t be the case going forward.
Gray played behind both Tim Jordan and Ty Chandler, but an injury forced the staff’s hand against Vanderbilt. As the game went on, they didn’t dare pull him out of that game. That record-breaking performance has him on the national radar for 2020.
