Tennessee has landed inside of another elite pass rusher’s top five options this weekend. Desmond Evans, a five-star edge rusher out of Sanford, North Carolina, announced a top five of Tennessee, Florida, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The 6-6, 238 pound prospect is the 21st ranked prospect in America, according to 247 Sports. Evans is the top ranked weak-side defensive end prospect in the 2020 class and currently sits as the top prospect in the state of North Carolina.
Evans took an unofficial visit to Tennessee last October. He’s seen North Carolina several times this year, giving the home state Tar Heels a perceived edge in his recruitment.
