It’s official. Darrell Taylor is a member of the Seattle Seahawks.
He was selected 48th overall in the second round. Taylor is the first Vol to be drafted since the 2018 NFL Draft, which saw three VFLs begin the next phase of their careers.
The Hopewell, Virginia native recorded 19.5 sacks during his five-year career, which is the 10th-most in Tennessee history. Most will probably remember him for his four-sack performance against the Kentucky Wildcats in 2018 or his game-winning tackle in double overtime against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets back in 2017.
