Breaking: No.1 QB prospect Hunter Johnson commits to Tennessee

The nations number one prospect Hunter Johnson has committed to the Tennessee Volunteers and head coach Butch Jones, according to 247sports

The Brownsburgh (IN) High School 2017 prospect has given his verbal committal to the Vols. Many were in the chase for Johnson’s committal including Notre Dame, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, Penn State and N.C. State, amongst others.

But Johnson has opted for Jones and the Vols.

The Vols were the first program to offer Hunter, the 6-foot-3, 197-lb quarterback prospect, a scholarship back in July of 2014. Since the initial offer, Hunter has visited the program five times and has gotten acquainted with the training staff and the facilities he will be representing for at least the next two years.
