Booger McFarland's criticism of Josh Heupel's play-action call is disingenuous

Tennessee football was one yard away from bringing the deficit to only two points heading into halftime, but an arrant throw by Joey Aguilar led to an Alabama pick six and a nine point swing at the end of the first half.

Alabama handled business in the second half, limiting the Vols' offense and cruising to a 37-20 victory after pulling away in the fourth quarter.

That interception to end the first half was likely the reason the Vols weren't able to get within striking distance against Alabama and the call by Josh Heupel to throw it has been questioned by fans and commentators since the decision.
