Rivalry football in the SEC just means more. More passion. More noise. And Alabama cornerback Anthony Averett says that could be a problem for Tennessee this weekend.
Averett said the expected crowd noise at Bryant-Denny Stadium may add a further test for Tennessee freshman quarterback Jarrett Guarantano in Saturday’s game, in an interview posted by the athletic department.
Averett said he knows what it’s like going on the road in rhe Alabama-Tennessee rivalry game for the first time. He got a feeling for the noise level of the “Third Saturday in October” last season, when he made his first visit to Neyland Stadium.
