When you're such a highly-touted playmaker, there's always going to be some concern when you suffer an injury. Such is the case for Tennessee football quarterback commit Faizon Brandon, who is currently dealing with a thumb issue.
It didn't stop him from making the trip to Knoxville for the showdown with Georgia over the weekend. However, it is going to keep him off the field at least for this week. According to reporter Bryant Roche, Brandon indeed has suffered a thumb injury and he won't be in action on Friday night. Luckily, Brandon is 'week to week' per Roche, so this is not expected to be a long-term problem:
