Charlie Strong has emerged as the 1 and only current candidate for the Tennessee coaching job. Mike Gundy, earlier today, has removed his name from consideration for the Vols job. Sources have reported that the UT administration is preparing to offer Strong a lucrative package and a stronger assistant coaches salary pool than they even gave Jon Gruden.
Early indications are a 5 year, $18 million offer, with a $3.6 million assistant coach pool. Stay tuned at this breaking story emerges.
