The ball hasn’t bounced the Tennessee Titans’ way much this year, but that wasn’t the case on Sunday, against the Arizona Cardinals. The Titans were the beneficiaries of quite a few fortuitous bounces, head-scratching decisions, and just good old-fashioned luck. That was most on display with an unorthodox touchdown Tennessee scored in the fourth quarter.
Trailing 21-12, attempting a comeback, rookie quarterback Cam Ward dropped back and fired a pass that was intercepted by Cardinals defensive back Dadrion Taylor-Demerson. As Taylor-Demerson tried to get up and return the interception, he fumbled the ball. Several players from both teams then kicked the ball around as they tried to recover it, and it ultimately ended in the end zone, where Titans receiver Tyler Lockett recovered it for a score.
