Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Titans HC Mike Mularkey’s job isn’t safe, even though they’ve managed to make the playoffs.
According to Rapoport, a loss to the Chiefs could lead to the team firing Mularkey and making a run at Patriots OC Josh McDaniels.
A few weeks ago, Rapoport reported that there has been serious frustration about the development of quarterback Marcus Mariota under Mularkey and it’s possible the Titans could try to lure a notable offensive coach to Tennessee such as McDaniels.
It’s worth mentioning that there are obvious ties between the Titans and McDaniels, given that GM Jon Robinson worked with McDaniels while they were in New England together a few years ago.
