NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans have added a resilient player to the team in former Steelers linebacker Sean Spence.
The Titans and Spence agreed to terms on a contract today.
Spence becomes the sixth free agent to join the team since the beginning of March.
An inside linebacker, Spence (5-foot-11, 231 pounds) visited with team officials on Wednesday after previously visiting the Jaguars and Dolphins.
Spence was the recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award with the Steelers in 2014. He suffered a knee injury in 2012 that forced him to miss two seasons, but he worked to put himself in a position to return.
