Despite dueling 2-4 records, there is a lot of importance to this game between the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers.
For starters, teams that are 2-5 have relatively no chance to make the playoffs and history shows that only 3% of those teams actually battle the odds and win, making it to the post season.
On the other hand, if you can dig out of the pit that is 2-4 and move to 3-4, your playoff chances more than double going from 9% to 19%.
So, while one team will leave Nissan Stadium and enter rebuilding mode (if they are smart) the other will claw desperately trying to get to 5-4 which is when the odds are finally back in that team’s favor to make it to the dance.
