The Tennessee Titans are moving on from Marcus Mariota by putting Ryan Tannehill behind center. And while it would seem like an upgrade on the surface, Tannehill will have plenty of things to overcome before that can be fully realized.
The Titans inserted Tannehill into the game late in the third quarter against the Denver Broncos in Week 6 and he outperformed Mariota. Tannehill completed 13-of-16 passes for 144 yards and one pick, as compared to Mariota completing just 7-of-18 passes for 63 yards and two picks.
While Tannehill looked like an improvement over Mariota with his arm strength and accuracy, some of the same old problems Mariota had to deal with reared their ugly heads.
