It’s been a busy day for the Titans so far. After releasing veteran safety Da’Norris Searcy this morning, they’ve now released veterans Matt Cassel and Eric Weems.
It wasn’t just S Da’Norris Searcy: The #Titans have also released QB Matt Cassel and WR Eric Weems.

Weems was signed last year and played mainly on the Titans’ special teams units in 2017. Matt Cassel served as the backup quarterback, but really struggled when forced into action.
Neither move is all that surprising.
