Paul Kuharsky reported this morning that the Titans plan to activate first round defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Non-Football Injury list next week.
Simmons will begin practicing next week and the team hopes for him to play against the Chargers in Week 7 in a limited capacity. The nice thing about bringing Simmons back from an ACL injury compared to the Titans bringing Jack Conklin back a year ago is that defensive linemen can be rotated in and out. I’d expect Simmons to see something like 10-20 snaps during his first game and the team can see where it goes from there based on how he looks.
