Marcus Mariota not showing signs of mental fatigue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A week of preparation for a quarterback is a grind, studying defenses and tendencies and helping refine the game plan.

Still, with three games left in his rookie year, Marcus Mariota says he doesn’t feel mentally tired and those around the quarterback agree.

“For me, I enjoy this game, I love it, it’s truly a blessing to be able to wake up and do something that you’re passionate about,” Mariota said. “I don’t ever get the feeling of being tired. I enjoy the preparation and the process of it.”

Interim coach Mike Mularkey said if Mariota’s mentally tired, it’s not apparent and it’s not anything different than the reaction to the grind for anyone else at this stage of the season.
