The Tennessee Titans continued to move on from the mistakes of the previous regime during roster cut-down day. Submitting his initial 53-man roster, GM Mike Borgonzi waived several Ran Carthon draft picks. One of the more notable departures was tight end Josh Whyle.
The Titans selected Whyle in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the first (and only) draft overseen by Carthon and Mike Vrabel. Whyle occasionally flashed as a rookie, posting nine receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown. The former Cincinnati standout was better as a sophomore, totaling 28 catches for 248 yards.
