The Tennessee Titans executed the unlikeliest of comeback victories on Sunday, overcoming a 21-6 fourth-quarter deficit to pull out a 22-21 triumph in Week 5. It took a number of goofy Cardinals plays to keep the Titans alive. It guarantees that hot-seat head coach Brian Callahan will survive at least another week.
The Cardinals made a number of boneheaded plays. Leading 21-6, running back Emari Demecardo appeared to have ripped off a 72-yard touchdown run. With replay assist, it was determined Demercado released the football in celebration early, resulting in a touchback and Titans ball.
The Titans responded by marching 80 yards in seven plays for their first touchdown in seven quarters.
