Brian Callahan already had a low approval rating entering the Tennessee Titans' Week 6 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, and after losing 20-10 on Sunday, it’s safe to say his rating has dropped even lower. If not for a few fortuitous bounces in Week 5, the second-year head coach would still be searching for his first win of the season. Instead, the Titans are an abysmal 1-5 under his lead.
The record, alone, is disappointing but not surprising. What is disheartening, though, is how bad Tennessee’s offense has looked. That was especially on display Sunday, against a Raiders defense that had struggled in recent weeks.
