NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- When he was introduced as the Tennessee Titans' full-time coach, I asked Mike Mularkey if he believed in Bill Parcells' bromide that "you are what your record is."
He said he does not.
"I'm just saying, there's situations in every place you've been that are going to provide you opportunities to win or not win," Mularkey said. "Not getting into any details at [Buffalo or Jacksonville], but the record is what it is. If you look at it, there's a lot of games in there in the loss column that we had opportunities to win, and we just didn't win them.
