Mariota Leads Titans To 36-22 Comeback Win Over Colts On Monday Night Football

The Tennessee Titans weren't able to get the ball into the end zone until the fourth quarter, but they scored three touchdowns in the final 10 minutes to give them a 36-22 win, ending an 11-game losing streak to the Indianapolis Colts.

With the score tied 22-22, Marcus Mariota found rookie wide receiver Taywan Taylor for the 53-yard touchdown with just over five minutes remaining, and the play turned out to be the game-winner.

Derrick Henry later added a 72-yard TD run in the final minute to ice the victory.

Mariota, who was severely limited due to a hamstring injury, finished the game with 306 passing yards, that touchdown, and one interception.

Even though Tennessee was able to move the ball throughout the entire game, their drives stalled in the first three quarters once they crossed midfield. Kicker Ryan Succop kept them in the game with five field goals and set the NFL record for most consecutive field goals made under 50 yards in the process.

Indianapolis was able to take advantage thanks to the smart play of Jacoby Brissett, who was making his fifth start in place of the injured Andrew Luck. They were able to build a 10-point lead early in the second half when John Simon came up with a pick-six.

The Colts were outscored 27-3 after that interception.

Brissett finished the game with 212 passing yards and a touchdown to go along with 15 rushing yards. However, he didn't get any help from anyone else on the offensive end.

Tennessee's two-headed running back monster of Henry (131 yards, TD) and DeMarco Murray (40 yards, TD) played well to help take some of the pressure off of Mariota. Eric Decker proved to be his favorite target, catching seven passes for 88 yards.

The Titans will look to start a winning streak next weekend against the Browns in Cleveland, while the Colts return home to face the Jacksonville Jaguars.
