Women's Volleyball Starts Strong, but Falters in Four Sets versus Shockers

PHILADELPHIA – On Sunday at McGonigle Hall, the Temple volleyball team collected 10 team blocks, but it wasn't enough to defeat Wichita State. The Shockers knocked off the Owls by the score of 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 18-25, 19-25).

In the loss, Owls' graduate student Miray Bolukbasi notched her second consecutive double-double and third of the season. The Istanbul, Turkey native had a team-high of 15 kills and 13 digs. In addition, teammate Patrycja Zielinska had a team-high 32 assists for Temple. The ninth time the Temple setter has accomplished that feat this season.
