PHILADELPHIA – In their second dual of the 2017 season, Temple women's tennis defeated the Iowa State Cyclones on Friday evening with a final score of 4-2 for its first win in the new year. Anais Nussaume and Mariana Bedon pulled in a big doubles win followed by singles victories from Alina Abdurakhimova, Monet Stuckey-Willis, Yana Khon, and Bedon.
Khon and Stuckey-Willis played in the top doubles spot but fell to the Cyclone duo of Samantha Budal and Maty Cancini. Nussaume and Bedon followed up with a doubles win, defeating Margarita Timakova and Annabella Bonadonna 6-3.
