PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's gymnastics senior Ariana Castrence was named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Co-Gymnast of the Week on Wednesday after outstanding performances at No. 29 NC State and George Washington last weekend, announced by the league.
Castrence tallied 9.8's or better on six of her seven events she took part in, with season-high scores on the vault, bars, floor, and in the all-around. Overall, the Waldorf, Md. pocketed five top-three finishes, including first-place finishes on the bars, vault, and the all-around.
At the G.W. Tri-Meet, Castrence scored the win on both the bars and vault with matching 9.
