PHILADELPHIA – The Temple volleyball team won the 2015 Hilton Penn's Landing Cherry & White Challenge with a 3-0 sweep over Binghamton on Saturday night. The Owls grabbed the match, 25-17, 25-10, and 25-11, to earn a perfect 3-0 record at the event. Temple moved to 7-2 with the win, while Binghamton, who was tournament runner-up, falls to 3-7.
Temple hit a combined .500 in the match, holding Binghamton to just a .063 clip. The Owls were paced by tournament MVP, sophomore Izzy Rapacz, who hit .438 at the event, recording 25 total kills with just four errors.
