PHILADELPHIA -- Temple was heavily represented on the list of American Athletic Conference academic awards released today, as three programs took home AAC Academic Excellence Awards (Men's Cross Country, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Rowing) and 269 student-athletes were named to the All-Academic Team.
The American Athletic Conference Team Academic Excellence Awards are given to the institution in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest cumulative GPA. Temple won the men's cross country award with a 3.85 combined GPA, the Owls' lacrosse team's 3.67 GPA garnered the honor for them, while the rowing team combined for a 3.
