PHILADELPHIA -- A 16-0 run early in the third quarter led the Temple women's basketball team to their 11th-straight victory, a 66-51 win at home against conference-foe Memphis. The victory improves Temple to 15-3 overall with an unblemished 6-0 mark in The American. Memphis dips to 8-11, 1-5 following the loss.
Temple trailed by as many as seven, with Memphis using a 53.8% shooting performance in the second quarter to build their largest lead of the game. From there, Temple locked down on defense, using transition buckets to build on a 16-0 run that turned the seven-point deficit into a nine-point lead.
