PHILADELPHIA - Temple Football culminated the Field Goals for Hunger program with The Fresh Grocer of Progress Plaza last Friday with a food donation for those in need. For every field goal made throughout the 2020 Temple Football season, The Fresh Grocer of Progress Plaza committed to donating three cases of non-perishable goods to Philabundance, Delaware Valley's largest hunger relief organization.
This season, the Temple Owls converted nine field goals, five thanks to freshman Rory Bell, and four from redshirt junior Will Mobley. The successful field goals meant that 27 cases of non-perishable goods were donated consisting of priority food items including canned protein, fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, and hot and cold cereal.
