SOUTH KENT, Ct. - Freshman Trey Wren shot a six -over par 150 (73-77) for his first day as a collegiate golfer to lead Temple to a tie for 18th place after the first day at the Hartford Hawk Invitational. The Invitational is being held at the Bull's Bridge Golf Club.
The start to the Owls season was marred by an injury to senior All-American Brandon Matthews. The DuPont, Pa. native shot a 74 in the opening round before pulling a muscle in his back early in the second round, forcing him to withdraw from the round.
