Teamwork. If there is one sport that embodies the word it is rowing. In order to move a boat effectively, all eight rowers must row in unison.
Teamwork was clearly on display the week of July 30 as Temple University, along with its women's rowing and men's crew programs, teamed with the City of Philadelphia to run a free community rowing camp for middle school children.
"We want to thank Temple for being a sponsor of this rowing camp," said Councilman Curtis J. Jones Jr. "You take urban kids and expose them to non-traditional sports.
