NEWPORT, R.I. - The American Athletic Conference has released its weekly awards and redshirt freshman DE Quincy Roche has been named one of two Defensive Players of the Week. In the Owls 29-21 victory over the UMass Minutemen, Roche tallied three sacks with a forced fumble and fumble recovery. After Friday night's performance, Roche sits atop the conference in sacks with four.
Also on the award list was redshirt sophomore QB Logan Marchi who landed on the weekly honor roll. Marchi had his third straight game with 200+ passing yards, throwing 22 of 37 with 248 yards and three touchdowns.
