For the first 20 minutes, the Owls depended on guards Tanaya Atkinson, Alliya Butts and Erica Covile to produce on the offensive side.
In the second half, the Owls’ offense relied on junior guard Feyonda Fitzgerald.
Atkinson, Butts and Covile scored all of Temple’s 33 first-half points, while Fitzgerald added a game-high 23 points in the second half to secure a 75-66 victory Saturday afternoon against Houston at the Hofheinz Pavilion.
“It was a good test on the road,” coach Tonya Cardoza said. “We haven’t had a lot of success on the road, so this is a good road win for us.
