PHILADELPHIA – The Temple volleyball team picked up its first win of the season, sweeping visiting Navy as part of the Crowne Plaza Philadelphia West Temple Invitational. The Owls cruised to victory with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, and 25-10, moving to 1-1 on the season.
Temple hit an eye-popping .412 as a team, led by juniors Kirsten Overton and Tyler Davis, and sophomore Irem Asci, who all notched 10 or more kills, while hitting over .400. Overton led the charge with 10 kills and only one error to hit .
