PHILADELPHIA - Temple track & field's Millie Howard is one of 11 student-athletes selected to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's Track & Field Team, as voted on by the sports information offices of 30 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Villanova's Siofra Cleirigh Buttner was named the 2017-18 Philadelphia Inquirer All-Area Women's Track & Field Performer of the Year.
Howard is a sophomore economics major with an impressive GPA of 3.96. She recently represented the Owls at the NCAA East Regional, just barely missing out on qualifying for the 2018 NCAA Championships in the 1,500 meter.
