PRINCETON, NJ.- Three Owls took to the courts at the Farnsworth Invitational Friday afternoon.
Top singles performer Florian Mayer bested Peter Beatty from Georgetown 6-0 and 6-2 in round 1. Unfortunately, in round 2 Mayer was defeated by Jimmy Wasserman from Princeton 3-6, 6-3, and 6-1.
In the singles for division two, Eric Biscoveanu was bested by Jan Cimrman from NJIT 6-4 and 6-1 in round 1. However, Biscoveanu did defeat Daniel Zheng from Paris 6-1 and 6-3 in round two in the consolation round.
Steven Hollander played in division three of the singles bracket and was defeated by Gonzalo Quintana of Farleigh Dickerson 6-2 and 6-3.
