PHILADELPHIA – In the Owls spring-season opener, Temple men's tennis was able to post a 6-1 victory over 2016 MAAC Champions Monmouth. Recently ranked Artem Kapshuk played in both the number one slots for doubles and singles, winning both.
"The guys played extremely well in this opening match of the spring season," said head coach Steve Mauro. "I was really happy with the way they came out in both singles and doubles. Monmouth won their conference last year and they're a really strong team so I knew were were going to have to play well to beat them.
