PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's crew team opened the spring racing season by winning four medals at the 34th Annual Murphy Cup Regatta. The event was hosted by the Owls on the Schuylkill River.
"Our men demonstrated a lot of speed and depth today," said Dr. Gavin White, Temple's head coach. "I'm really impressed, they showed a lot of poise and an awful lot of determination. They haven't gotten rattled and showed no signs of being nervous."
Temple grabbed silver medals in both the varsity eight and junior varsity eight races, while taking bronze in the novice eight and lightweight four races.
