MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Temple (15-9, 8-5 AAC) travels to Memphis (15-9, 9-5 AAC) Thursday night (7 pm ET/ESPN2/1210 AM WPHT) for a key American Athletic Conference contest that will go a long way in terms of conference standings.
The Owls are currently in sole possession of fifth place with the top five teams in the standings receiving a first-round bye in the Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship (Mar. 10-13). Memphis is one-half game ahead of Temple and tied with Tulane for third in The American.
This is the only meeting between Memphis and Temple this season.
