PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Gary McCabe had his best career finish and redshirt senior John Barone a shot four-under 67 for his final round Sunday to lead Temple Golf to third place in the 13-team Princeton Invitational. The Owls shot a five-under 279 for their final round and the team's 54-hole total of 847 (-5) is a new program record.
Recapping the Day
- After shooting a one-over on the front nine, Barone was masterful on the back end, firing five birdies, including his final hole, to lead the team. His three-under 210 score was second on the team and tied for 11th overall
- McCabe, who had his best collegiate round (68) on Saturday, had two birdies and one bogey on Sunday for a one-under 70.
