PHILADELPHIA - After excelling both on the track and in the classroom, the Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association (PhillySIDA) announced today that Temple's Michelle Joyce was named to the Academic All-Area Team.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area, a student-athlete must be in his or her second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better.
Joyce has enjoyed a stellar year in the classroom, being named to Temple's Trustee Ten which recognizes the student-athletes with the top 10 GPAs in the department with a minimum of 60 credit hours.
