PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball trio of Ashley Jones, Mia Davis and Asonah Alexander were honored with American Athletic Conference regular season awards, announced by the league office Friday morning.
Jones highlighted the awards for Temple as she was named the American Newcomer of the Year and was tabbed to Second Team All-Conference. The guard out of Philadelphia has been a huge addition to the Owls' backcourt during her first season on Broad Street. Jones currently averages 16.5 points per game to rank second on the team and fifth in the conference.
