PHILADELPHIA-- Temple gymnastics' Jaylene Everett has been named to the 2018-19 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area At-Large Team. The junior is one of twelve student-athletes to earn this honor. The team is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Everett has been outstanding, both in the gym and in the classroom, for the Owls during her junior campaign. Athletically, she earned three vault titles this year and a career-best of 9.875 on the event. She has also posted a season-best of 9.875 on floor this year and won one title on the event.
