DES MOINES, IOWA – The No. 30 Temple Owls gymnastics team knocked off No. 23 Iowa State by the score of 194.525-194.075 on Saturday night at Hy-Vee Hall during the Chows Winter Classic. The win marks the first time the Owls have beaten a Big 12 opponent in program history.
"I'm so proud of our team tonight. We had some adversity with a couple of falls, but the team hung in there and fought through that adversity to pick up the meet win," said Temple Head Coach Josh Nilson. He went on to say, "We had several individual highlights, including the Hannah and Sarah (Stallings).
