ELLINGTON, Conn. – Senior Dawson Anders shot a two-over 74 to lead Temple Golf to a fourth place showing after the first day at the Connecticut Cup Thursday. As a team, the Owls were 14-over par, nine off the lead in the 12-team field at the three-day tournament being held at the 6,936-yard, par-72 Ellington Ridge Country Club.
Recapping the Day
> Anders had a pretty even day, making par on 13 holes, including the first five of his round. He had had two birdies and two bogeys over the next eight holes before a double-bogey on the par four 16th hole pushed his to two-over for the day.
