GLENSIDE, Pa. – Seniors and tied for third to lead Temple Golf to a third place finish at the eight-team Explorer Invitational Monday. The one-day, 36-hole tournament was played through high winds most of the day at the par-71, 6,433-yard LuLu Country Club.
Previewing the Tournament
- McCabe continued his hot play of late, turning in his best collegiate finish. He had a five-over 147 on the day which was one-shot back of the co-medalists. He led the Owls and tied for third with 24 pars to go along with four birdies.
- Wren made seven birdies to tie for second in the 42-man field, but a double bogey in the morning round and a triple bogey in the afternoon proved damaging.
