BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Junior Conor McGrath kept up his solid play, shooting an even-par 72 over the first round of the 2021 American Athletic Conference Championship to lead Temple and tie for 14th overall. As a team, the Owls shot an eight-over 296 and are in seventh place in the three-day, 54-hole tournament which is being held at the Southern Hills Plantation Club.
Recapping the Day
> McGrath, who leads the Owls with a 73.3 stroke average, was one-under on the front none with birdies on the par-5 fifth hole and par-4 ninth, but a bogey on the par-3 17th pushed him to one over on back nine.
