GREENVILLE, S.C. - There is no record in the Temple Golf media guide for best round by an Owls team, but it would be tough to beat Saturday's second round at the Furman Intercollegiate held at the 6,994 par-72 Furman University Golf Course.
One day after shooting a 10-over 298, the Temple Golf team turned in a nine-under 279. The 19-point turnaround moved the Owls from 17th place to ninth place in the 19-team field.
"It is definitely the best round in my tenure at Temple," said Owls' head coach Brian Quinn, now in his ninth season at the helm.
