Football's Big Games Lead American's Breakout Season in Attendance, Viewership

PHILADELPHIA – With two home games remaining, the Temple Owls are in position to win their way to a division title and the American Athletic Conference's inaugural championship game. In this historic season, the Owls have already set impressive records with attendance at Lincoln Financial Field and viewership of their games.

As the American reported today, the member schools have enjoyed a ten-percent increase in attendance from 2014. The two biggest crowds of the season were Temple's home games against Notre Dame (a school-record 69,280) and Penn State (69,176). This marked the first time Temple sold out two home games since moving to South Philadelphia full-time in 1976.
