DALLAS- The Temple Owls lost to #19 SMU Mustangs 45-21. The Owls are now 5-2 and 2-1 in conference play. The Mustangs move to 7-0 and 3-0 in the conference. Temple struggled to keep the Mustangs' passing offense in check and had a hard time getting its own offense going in the first half. The Owls continued to fight back, cutting the lead to 10 multiple times, but the Mustangs potent offense was able to fire back and maintain a lead throughout the second half.
